Make a difference

We are looking for people of all ages and backgrounds to help us support young carers and their families. We have a number of different roles for people to get involved with…

Exploration

Our Volunteers assist young carers on our Exploration Programme by helping them gain the skills and confidence to manage the challenges they face.

We meet Wednesday evenings during term time 4pm to 6pm and 6:30pm to 8:30pm

Activities

Volunteers participate with young people on our activities programme, giving them the opportunity to relax and have fun with their friends.

We meet during the day in school holidays and occasionally in evenings during school term. Some volunteers help with transport.

Other roles

We are developing new volunteer roles to support our fundraising, marketing and administration functions.

Hours are flexible and can be office or home based.

Trustees

Trustees play a vital role in overseeing the effective delivery and development of the charity.

Trustees meet at least four times a year.

I am proud to be a volunteer at Winchester Young Carers. I get the opportunity to make a positive influence in young peoples lives and none are more deserving.
